Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actor. Her fame is due to her roles in the television series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has demonstrated her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. Her role as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to attract her interest. However, it was her performance of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer from the biography film All the Way, which brought her the recognition she earned as an actress. The actress became the first Indian actress to serve on the Cannes Film Festival's jury during the same year. Bachchan made an appearance as a character in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance adaptation to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan was able to bring her stunning beauty and glam to her debut major English language film.
